The History of Viksund
Viksund is a pioneer in Norwegian boatbuilding, founded in Bergen in 1966. Its first model, the 25 Sabbcruiser, laid the foundation for a rich tradition in high-quality boats. Viksund was one of the first companies in Norway to focus on building fiberglass boats, which brought them great success early on. By the 1970s, Viksund was one of the largest boat builders in Norway, specializing in both fishing vessels and motor yachts.
After a challenging period in the late 1980s, Viksund restructured and introduced new models, regaining a leading position in the late 1990s. Since 2000, Viksund has focused exclusively on motor yachts between 30 and 40 feet, including popular models such as the Viksund 320, Viksund 340 St Cruz, and the Viksund 360 St Cruz.
