The Van Speijk 26 is a boat of distinction, and could serve as the backdrop for a stellar portrait. The Van Speijk resembles a classic naval sloop. It is therefore difficult for the passing and walking public to believe that we are dealing here with a contemporary design.
The interior
To pass through a ring and made for lounging. In the back, Van Speijk made a huge sun bed that you can easily fit four people on.
Then you have access to two spacious longitudinal benches with a sea of storage space below on the port side. To starboard, the men have concealed a spacious refrigerator.
Sailing characteristics
Are again special and modern. The Van Speijk lies like a house in the water, responds well to the rudder and glides smoothly through the canals. However, the attached rudder makes for an enormous turning circle. Without a bow thruster you have to make at least one stab. Fortunately, the Van Speijk comes standard with a bow thruster.
Speed
Two fixed trim tabs keep the butt sight from digging in too far and the boat gets into plané faster. The cockpit stays dry, because the water is directed neatly to the rear. A real gentleman's boat that, with its class, needs no speed at all. Still, it is a pleasure to give the Van Speijk the spur.
